Eighth grade student registration for ninth grade
High school counselors will visit middle schools during the week of April 26-30 to meet with 8th grade students. They will complete subject selection sheets for the ninth grade as part of the registration process. All 8th grade students should register for classes at the high school to which they are currently assigned for next year, even if they applied to attend a different school during Open Enrollment. After assignment letters go out at the end of May, students who are assigned to a new high school through the Open Enrollment process will be contacted by their assigned high school about completing the registration process for that school.
Any questions? Please call the Main Office #206-252-3888. The counselors will be going to the Middle Schools to visit and to talk to the students about schedules. If you would like to arrange a school day visit please call Principal Martin Floe @ #206-252-3888. Looking forward to seeing you all at Ingraham High School.
IB and Ingraham Assignments: We are hearing from parents who are concerned that the "regular program" assignments they are receiving in their school assignment paperwork means that their students are not in the IB or honors program. The IB and Honors programs at Ingraham are part of the "regular" program. The designations used by the district simply refer to regular, special ed, or bilingual programming and do not include building based programs. I hope this brings reassurance to all of you that your children are welcome to register for honors and IB classes this spring when we start the course selection process for next year.
